A Million Little Obnoxious News Anchors
Unfashionably late, as always to the party involving that Frey guy and his fabricated little novel I had a rather worthwhile thought pop into my head concerning this whole story that perhaps others may be dwelling on.
Seeing how everyone in the God and government fearing media seems to be piling on the "I am Shocked, Shocked!!" bandwagon with relative ease I am finding it a bit humorous. Humorous, because after reading a book about a piece of shit, scum-bag dirt hole who allegedly partakes of drugs and has engaged in other forms of incriminating activities, should anyone really be that surprised that the alleged dirt-bag made the whole thing up? The fact that his tale is nothing more than a bogus work of grossly embellished concoctions is, in a way, the Coup de Grace of this whole event. It seems quite amusing how a man accused of falsifying his life as said alcoholic junky-criminal of sea-floor scraping moral standings could raise such an alarmist response when he is found to have done something the character in his book perhaps was in similar ethical yard lines of doing. He lied. He lied to a great many of people, of course, including to the face of one powerful queen bee of the multinational conglomerate hive system. I am not looking to support any sort of exoneration of Frey for his book is nothing more than a piece that could have been written by anyone with a mind to do so, but one could not be held over the coals for making the observation. Should not the real issue be looking more toward the publishers' potentially unchecked means of slapping TRUE on Frey's book? Whole thing sure made everyone a whole lot of money and some of those accounts discussed over at The Smoking Gun seemed to be dying for verification.
Too bad Frey blew it on Oprah the second time he was on. Talk about crumbling. He could have made at least a somewhat valid point in terms of the jarring media flash bomb it set off. Guess he wanted to save his writing career. Or maybe he fell victim to the legendary Stare of Unfathomable Blood and Doom and Mind Control that Oprah supposedly possesses. Dr. Phil taught it to her years ago in exchange for a spot on her show..and her Soul. No, the man is not the devil but he does gamble with him; usually on Sundays.
You could have had it all Frey. Now all you have is forgiveness. Actually, wait, does he still get to keep all the money? You sleazy sonofabitch. Do a line for Oprah, Sir. Or off Oprah depending on how many hands you've shaken.
